Blocking Ads on YouTube

YouTube has set out a policy against customers using AdBlock technology, to which we are working to provide continuous updates for our customers to not be affected by this. Click here to find out more via YouTube's Statement.

We cannot remove ads within the YouTube app, but we can block ads on YouTube by playing the video within our application or through your web browser.

Within our Application (recommended)

To watch YouTube on your Android or iOS® device through our application follow these steps:

  • Ensure Total Adblock is turned on
  • Go to YouTube app and find the video you want to watch
  • Tap the three dots to bring up the video menu
  • Tap 'Share'
  • Find then Tap 'Ad free' or 'Total Adblock'

    • You may need to look under 'more' options if it's not listed.

    This will then open the Video within Total Adblock completely ad-free!

    Within your Web Browser

    Alternatively, to watch ad-free YouTube on your Android or iOS® device within your browser follow these steps:

  • Ensure Total Adblock is turned on
  • Enter www.youtube.com into the address bar.
    • Make sure to include www. and use the address bar.

    If you use a search engine it will open the YouTube app by default.

    Providing Total Adblock is installed on your web extension, we will block adverts on YouTube if it is enabled. If for any reason you are still seeing adverts, please ensure you are logged in with your paid subscription.
