Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication is crucial for your security and peace of mind when it comes to keeping your accounts safe. If you do not have Two-Factor Authentication setup, please follow this guide below:

Open Total Password & Go to Settings

Find & Click My Account

Click Two-Factor Authentication

Choose a Authenticator Application

Total Password does not provide it's own 2FA, as there are already extremely secure 2FA applications out there. Choose from the list below and you'll be able to find them in either the App Store or the Play Store.


  • Microsoft Authenicator

  • Google Authenicator

  • Authy

  • Duo Mobile

  • Scan QR Code on the Authentication App

    2FA Setup Successful!

    Should you come across the following message:

    This action will overwrite existing security information for you account 'customer@youremailadddress.com'. To prevent being locked out of your account, continue only if you initiated this action from a trusted source.

    You will have to add your 2FA manually by follow the process below:

  • Click Two-Factor Authentication under My Account

  • Enter your Master Password

  • Click Next

  • Click on Can't Scan QR Code?

  • Copy the Code onto the Add Account Section of your 2FA Application

  • Tap Add Account

  • Enter the 6-Digit Code from the 2FA Application

  • 2FA has Successfully been Enabled!
